GENOMIC BIOSTIMULANT

Composition

Gen Up® is the product born from the genomic researches by Grabi Chemical. The product has been made thanks to the use of all technologies explained in the previous pages making Gen Up® one of the first genomic biostimulants in the world. The genomic researches have allowed all the natural components to work together and to enhance the real genetic potential of several crops. The biostimulant has been tested all over the world through labs and field trials.

Betaine

It increases the storage of fruits. Betaine has the ability to leave methyl groups to cysteine that is subjected to sulphurization, turning it in methionine.

Osmotic Processes

Abiotic Stresses

Metabolic functions

Phenilalanine

It originates the synthesis of Anthocyanins, flavonoids and cell walls. It strengthens the colour of the fruit making it more consistent and givinf flavour to it.

Color reinforcement

Methionine

Beyond managing root development and stoma regulation, it is the precursor of ethylene synthesis. It brings forward and makes uniform the ripening.

Roots Development

Hormonal Development

Stomata Regulation

The Genomic “Playmaker” Metabolite

The genomic product guarantees the requested targets because of the metabolite generated by the monitored excited genes’ sequence of the plant. This metabolite fosters a path that enhances the real qualitative abilities that specific plants and fruits have.

Secondary metabolites in plants are molecules that are not essential for the growth and the development of an organism and they are derived by unique biosynthetic pathways from primary metabolites and intermediates. Chemicals found in fruits prevent spoilage and act as signals (in the form of color, aroma, and flavor) of the presence of potential rewards (sugars, vitamins and flavor) for animals that eat the fruit and thereby help to disperse the seeds. Other chemicals serve cellular functions that are unique to the particular plant in which they occur (e.g. resistance to salt or drought). Plants have formed the basis of sophisticated traditional medicine system that have been in existence thousands of years in countries such as China and India. Secondary metabolite play a role in reinforcement of tissue and tree body (e.g. cellulose, lignin, suberin), natural inner protection, inner recovery, and plant regulation (plant hormones). The production of the secondary metabolites in the plant follows complex metabolic pathways that require a high energy waste to the plant.

Gen Up® gives the priority to this process helping the plant to save energy for itself. As a consequence the crop will have a prompter reaction against all kind of stresses, higher yields and uniformity in fruit size and color.

The Characteristics

Gen Up® is a 100% biostimulant, a hydrolizate whose function is to foster the absorption of the nutritional elements into the plants. It has been experimented that Gen Up® regulates the flowering and the fruit set giving uniformity and advance; it increases also the production of crops. Gen Up® is a complex realized to influence positive effects on plant’s metabolism and to increase intracellular signals processes. The biostimulation of Gen Up® allows the significant increase of the homogeneous growth of the plants. Ca++ shows a better efficiency for the better absorption and transport. This is translated in increase in the harvest both in quality and in yield. Gen Up® increases and accelerates enzymes’ biosynthesis releasing messages to face nutritional physiopathologies. Activation of the gene of the Ascorbate Peroxidases (APX) enzyme, its function is to neutralize the reactions of hydrogen peroxide. This phenomenon turns the system from not-active to active (developing intracellular messages). Gen Up® can always be applied because it stays latent in the plant until the appearance of the hostile conditions. So it is a programmed release action product.

high value of vitamins and amino acids makes it a complete product in the multifunctional activity.

the ingredients are easily recognized by the plant as their own natural substances. No risks of residues.

it is sistemic and it is easily absorbed by the plant as it moves inside the body upwards and downwards.

it has a total compatibility with the products present in the market and it does not generate phytotoxicity

it is always applicable because it stays latent until the appearance of a hostile condition.

it is allowed in organic farming thanks to the vegetal extraction.

The Trials

Corn

Trial Design

The objective of this trial was to evaluate the efficacy of GEN UP® at two different time of applications, if after applications there were higher yield and secondary parameters like greening. The GEN UP® was compared to two different standard products. Assessments of phytotoxicity of the experimental compounds were also done. A randomized complete block design with four replicates was adopted. Each elemental plot area was 33.6 sqm: length 36 m (spacing within row 0.19 m), width 2.8 m (row spacing 0.7 m). The products were applied on two different varieties.

Results

Conclusions

The target of the trial is the comparison of the new biostimulant product “GEN UP®” realized through the genomic technology with other biostimulants present in the market “COMPETITOR1” and “COMPETITOR2”. The goal was the one to test “GEN UP®” on the sensibility to enhance the corn plant with the real genetic expression which is typical of the varieties examined. Through the “up-regulation” process observed in the different varieties, such as: secondary metabolites development, microelements transport (iron and zinc), cell division, sugars management and fat acids translocation, we obtained these results that according to us are extremely positive.

Yield: averagely from +12%
Spike height: +3%
Plants height: +10%
Weight: + 4%
Less moisture at harvest: -5.5% minimum.
Stay Green: +40%

These are results obtained optimally on the 2 varieties and this higlights a positive homogeneous correlation that demonstrates the non-fortuity (non-randomness) of the data but a proportionality.Another meaningful data is that a BBCH 16 treatment allows to have almost the same result as BBCH 16 and BBCH 59.
